Stores Officer

ABOUT THIS ROLE:

BCM is looking for a stores officer who will be responsible for maintaining inventories, ordering new items, placing products on shelves, keeping records of transferred merchandise.  You will be reporting to the Stores Supervisor and actively provide training junior stores personnel.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:

Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring stock level and reporting any indication of out of stock or over stock condition developing
  • Stock control and accepting new shipments
  • Ensure safety and security of stock
  • To compile reports on various aspects of changes in production or inventory.
  • To ensure accuracy in all paper work concerning delivered shipments and issued consumables.
  • Assist in other duties as reasonably requested by the stores supervisor
  • Follow all health and safety regulations in the discharge of assigned duties

Working Conditions:

  • Site based.
  • Working hours is 6 days a week, 12hours per day, 06:00am to 06:00pm daily

TRAINING, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE CHECKLIST

  • Relevant certification in Logistics, purchasing and supply and any equivalent would be preferred.
  • Proven knowledge in the use of Pronto software 
  • Previous experience in stores function is preferred.
  • Must have good customer service skills
  • Commitment to safety rules.
  • Computer literate
  • Must be able to multi-task, and deal with customer or requesting departments complaints
  • Ability to work independently and also as a member of the stores team.
